Ros Stiles and Toni Bann established SMBI CONNECT, a collaborative network ofcommunity groups to: share event dates, avoid clashes, collaborate where beneficial, respect standalone events. The success of early communication in avoiding major scheduling conflicts was noted. It was also noted that: additional event-focused and environmental/landcare networks are emerging, BIMSARA will seek collaboration with these groups to strengthen community outcomes and grant opportunities.
